Pr\u00f3tons e n\u00eautrons formam o n\u00facleo at\u00f4mico e s\u00e3o chamados de nucleons, enquanto os el\u00e9trons est\u00e3o localizados nas camadas externas em uma esp\u00e9cie de \u00abnuvens orbitais\u00bb. Os nucleons s\u00e3o mantidos juntos por for\u00e7as nucleares e, salvo em \u00e1tomos muito massivos suscet\u00edveis \u00e0 desintegra\u00e7\u00e3o por processos radioativos, n\u00e3o s\u00e3o facilmente perdidos ou adquiridos. Em contraste, os el\u00e9trons nas camadas mais externas podem ter maior ou menor liberdade de movimento, dependendo da configura\u00e7\u00e3o eletr\u00f4nica do \u00e1tomo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; color: #000000;\">Com base nisso, podemos categorizar os objetos f\u00edsicos em dois tipos opostos: condutores e isolantes. Enquanto os condutores s\u00e3o materiais capazes de adquirir e liberar el\u00e9trons facilmente, os isolantes tendem a resistir \u00e0 troca de seus el\u00e9trons.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; color: #000000;\">Embora tanto condutores quanto isolantes possam perder ou ganhar el\u00e9trons, a distin\u00e7\u00e3o fundamental est\u00e1 na mobilidade dos el\u00e9trons, uma vez que s\u00e3o capturados pelos \u00e1tomos do material. Por exemplo, na maioria dos metais, os el\u00e9trons desfrutam de liberdade de movimento que possibilita a forma\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00abcorrentes el\u00e9tricas\u00bb. Em contraste, em materiais como a borracha, embora possam adquirir carga el\u00e9trica, \u00e9 dif\u00edcil que as cargas se movam de um ponto a outro atrav\u00e9s deles.<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"2\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Eletrifica\u00e7\u00e3o<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; color: #000000;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=e7lkaoGDsq8&amp;t=415s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Eletrifica\u00e7\u00e3o<\/span><\/strong><\/a> refere-se ao fen\u00f4meno de ganhar ou perder carga el\u00e9trica. A seguir, descrevemos os processos pelos quais esse fen\u00f4meno ocorre.<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"3\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Carga por Contato<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; color: #000000;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=e7lkaoGDsq8&amp;t=542s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Carga por contato<\/strong><\/a> envolve eletrificar um corpo ao coloc\u00e1-lo em contato com outro que j\u00e1 est\u00e1 eletrificado. Ao fazer isso, os el\u00e9trons se redistribuem entre ambos os corpos at\u00e9 que suas cargas atinjam o equil\u00edbrio. Para que esse processo ocorra, \u00e9 essencial que ambos os corpos sejam condutores; caso contr\u00e1rio, as cargas n\u00e3o se redistribuir\u00e3o livremente e a eletrifica\u00e7\u00e3o n\u00e3o ocorrer\u00e1.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; Isso se deve ao fato de que, durante a fric\u00e7\u00e3o, a energia \u00e9 transferida entre os corpos. Parte dessa energia pode deslocar os el\u00e9trons de um objeto para outro. Quando isso acontece, dizemos que os corpos adquiriram carga por fric\u00e7\u00e3o. Nesse m\u00e9todo, utiliza-se o efeito que o campo el\u00e9trico de um objeto carregado tem sobre os el\u00e9trons de um corpo neutro. Para compreender esse mecanismo, \u00e9 essencial saber que os el\u00e9trons, que possuem carga negativa, podem ser atra\u00eddos ou repelidos na presen\u00e7a de outro objeto com carga.
